I believe that as scientists we can and should do better in sharing our knowledge with the general public. This is one reason for me to be active on Twitter, talking to journalists regularly, and why I am happy to appear on the media from time to time:

I advised journalists from the online edition of the German weekly Die Zeit, Zeit Online, on how to measure and collect data on party ideology using a two-dimensional space. The interactive tool and corresponding article appeared just before the German national elections in 2021 (22 Sep 2021).
